29th Oct Third design idea

I shared my idea about the flip over storage table with my group after the discussion we realize the steel structure and the flip part is not safe enough for 5 years old children. They might set on them and hit by the flip over board in the case with out any supervision. In addition if the steel structure broken the community won’t be able to fix it. From the safety and convenient perspective we decide to use lift up structure, which is far simpler than the previous one. Based on the interior design of their drawing room plywood was chosen for the table.

Research from Stockwell Park Estate Community Center

This week we had our first idea about the table, which is making a drop-leaf table providing more space for party and drawing purpose. However our table’s square basement is too central to support the extended surface that means if we want to extent any part of the table safely. We need to pick up another design with legs around its edges. Further more I did research about multifunctional furniture design and made decision on creating a flip over Storage table creating room to put drawing materials and bags.

We also been questioning if our customers require this functionality or not. With this in mind I went to the community center ask them few questions about the way the table will be used, at the main while I showed them our designs. The stuff said he extremely interested in the last idea because the storage provides room for children’s drawing materials and school bags whereas store things inside the storage for next class.

I found out the questionnaire was extremely helpful to support my design idea and made right decision later on.
