After talking to curators in St John I was inspired by museum’s history and collections of medals and medical equipment. The first idea was based on the Order’s sailing history and the original purpose of setting up St John ambulance. with this this in mind I observed a silver vassal form the collection and tempting to create a telescope with moveable wooden slice that can be push in and out.
Later on I realized getting people touch and play with the objects are much more memorable and playful. Personally I am interested in jewelry pieces those medals cached my eye. I thought about understanding the history behind each medal and put them into a rang of forms that can be insert onto a wooden board. Visitors should put medals in right place by engaging with the histories.
